The shipping industry and shipyard business have a long and proud history in Scandinavia. Since the large shipyards in western Sweden were phased out the competence has been preserved and developed in a number of small and medium sized businesses with a maritime focus.

Structural changes within the shipping industry have been a driving force in the creation of new operation modes and new organisation patterns have been created. Maritime Equipment Group is one of these results. The aim of the group is to work close to it’s customers and take on total responsibility for the ships navigation, communication, IT and security solutions. This responsibility goes from the project phase throughout design, installation to commissioning and world wide service.

Zeatec Marine AB, part of Maritime Equipment Group, focus on the oceangoing merchant fleet, newbuilding projects, large retrofit and rebuild projects as well as long term service commitments. It’s sister company Boatnav AB focus on working boats, fishing boats and larger pleasure boats. Satpool Sweden AB, the third company in the group offers custom made solutions for all kind of satellite equipment and airtime solutions.

Many of the employees have got long experience from working in various marine business areas, such as shipyards, shipowners, installation companies and system suppliers to mention some. Over the last few years Zeatec have successfully delivered complete solutions for a number of smaller and larger new building projects
as well as some larger reconstruction projects.

The headquarters are located in Skärhamn, near Gothenburg in Sweden. Branch offices are found in Lomma (Malmö/Copenhagen area), Stockholm, Åbo (Finland), Beograd (Serbia) and Shanghai (China). Customers includes Swedish as well as foreign shipowners, system houses, shipyards and various government units.
